Luxury hotels are centered in Polanco, west of the Centro Histórico near a sprawling park called Bosque de Chapultepec. Polanco and La Condesa, another mostly residential neighborhood near the park, are where you'll find most of the small boutique hotels. All are within walking distance of some of the city's best dining, nightlife, and shopping. To the east lies the Zona Rosa—once a good place to bed down, but looking a bit seedy as of late. The Centro Histórico itself is a great place to stay, although nothing much goes on here after dark.
