From the readers of Condé Nast Traveler:
This 1886 neoclassical hotel near Casino Square has a contemporary edge and a glass-domed atrium. Modest guest rooms have textured carpet, floral beddings, and more often than not Mediterranean views. Chef Joël Robuchon's modern Japanese Yoshi is "pretty hip," with a garden that's secluded from Monte Carlo's busy streets. Bronze-colored leather, copper, and black slate characterize the spa's interiors.

From the editors of Condé Nast Traveler:
Talk about making a silk purse out of a sow's ear: This total makeover of a second-string hotel by decorator Jacques Garcia (Paris's Hotel Costes) and superstar chef Joël Robuchon is the real deal. The 146 rooms are plushly outfitted with striped silk-damask curtains and silk-covered walls; bathrooms have pie-plate shower heads, double sinks, and oversized tubs. But what really entices is its swell location—steps from the gardens of Monte Carlo's casino, right in the heart of the principality—and constellation of superb amenities, including a Robuchon restaurant, a saltwater pool, and a sensational spa.—2005 Hot List
