Montréal restaurants

Once plagued with high unemployment and large-scale emigration to western Canada, Montréal has enjoyed a renaissance over the past decade. Much of the city's growth is due to international immigration. While strict laws have preserved the province's French heritage, the city is becoming increasingly multicultural, a phenomenon reflected in its evolving and exciting restaurant scene. Dining options range from classical French to new world Québecois to all flavors of the ethnic rainbow. Expect to book about a week in advance for the hottest tables.
