The editors here have said that some things are better left alone. I disagree. I visited this almost unknown tourist attraction a couple of years ago. While the external finish is a bit on the odd side, the huge statue of Athena Parthenos inside is worth the price of admission. Nashville may consider itself the Athens of the South. I don't think Athens considers itself the Nashville of Greece. However, this exhibit has more to offer than just the odd gravel finish on the columns. There is something about the Parthenon that expresses the true spirit of Nashville. You can figure that out for yourself. report a problem
