There are few places in Amsterdam that can transform a summer night into something truly magical. With nothing more than the freshest organic ingredients, relaxed but professional service, and a beguiling outdoor setting, AS truly has the perfect combination. Dinner is served casually outdoors (indoors in inclement weather) at communal tables. We loved the simple starter of beetroot soup and flawless rustic bread. The rest only got better, with flavors true to the season, super-fresh, and marvelous combinations. It's not elegant, but if you're looking for a truly original dining experience in Amsterdam there's little to compare it to. Well worth the 15 minute tram ride from the center.
