Like so much in the islands, the Great House puts an emphasis on fun and whimsy. Maître d' Patterson Fleming, or Pattie, is often called the Prince of Ties—guests have given him more than 5,000 often-wacky neckties, which he categorizes by donor's name and wears whenever he learns that particular guest is returning. On Thursdays, he serves up a gargantuan seafood buffet of succulent swordfish and wahoo. Plan to dance off the desserts (guava cheesecake, Key lime pie, chocolate crinkles) at the Sea Breeze/Coconuts bar outside, as local bands crank into the night.
Open daily early October through late August with seatings between 6:30 pm to 8 pm.
