Warehouse District
New Orleans , Louisiana
Tel: 504 588 2123
Concierge.com's insider take:
Donald Link, of Herbsaint fame, opened his second restaurant in the spring of 2006, this time in the Warehouse District, and it's become one of the city's hottest tickets. The menu is firmly rooted in the rustic Cajun boucherie (meat market) tradition. For a starter, don't miss the deep-fried chicken liver appetizer or the meaty fried boudin balls (Cajun sausage ground up with rice). The sophisticated take on catfish sauce piquante updates a home-style Cajun dish with flawless bistro presentation. Or stop in for a late, lazy lunch of a fried-oyster-and-bacon sandwich and a stiff Louisiana Boilermaker (bourbon and Abita beer) to wash it all down. The airy, well-lit rooma former electrical warehouseplays exposed brick off stylish blond wood, though the flat-seated chairs take their toll on the backside during longer meals.
Open for lunch Mondays through Fridays; dinner Mondays through Saturdays.
