Good experience, but not as great as expected

Being the top ranked restaurant in NYC, and, #8 in the world, perhaps the expectations were set too high. We had a great meal, with each dish being delicious, however, we found the food to be more geared towards Americans, compared to the French food that we had in Paris from restaurants owned by Guy Savoy. I guess it is just a matter of taste. Service was second to none, the wine parings were amazing, but, we just expected a bit more from the food. Still a must do. You will not be disappointed.
