We booked two rooms this summer for 4 days during the heat wave. Our rooms were a cool oasis in a smoldering city. A/C worked exceptionally well and the temperature controls are state of the art. Staff is helpful and friendly, rooms and baths are very well appointed. We had a single Grand Salon and a double Deluxe Salon, both with king beds. The beds were european, soft on the top but firm in the middle. We slept in all three mornings. Both of our rooms, one on them on Lex, were exceptionally quiet. Windows have blackout shades. Loved the Boulud restuarant in the hotel. The roof garden is delightful for evening cocktails and after dinner relaxation no matter where you dine in the city. We will be back!
