My love affair with NYC goes back to my pre-teen years. I have to say, it is one of the best walking cities in the world with another surprise around every corner. It is not the "big bad city" of the 70's, but it is important to use common sense and not get so caught up in the excitement that you let your guard down. 1) Leave your jewelry at home, why tempt fate. 2) Wear comfortable shoes! It may be the fashion capital of the world, but it won't be any fun if your feet hurt! 3) Take the subway! It is one of the most efficient (and least expensive way to get around) 4) Be mindful of your wallet. (this is a big city after all) 5) Have fun! Just don't try to see everything. That can take a lifetime!) report a problem
