Located on a boring midtown street is this find: a treasure trove of antique silver at very reasonable prices. Jean's is an insider source for over 2,000 flatware patterns as well as estate and new sterling silver sets from American, English, Danish, and European designers. They'll track down missing pieces in a hard-to-find pattern, repair existing pieces, and even replace knife blades. They also sell vintage and estate jewelry, both silver and gold, displayed in cases at the front of the store. There's not much of it, but what there is rivals what you'll find at larger specialized boutiques.
Open Mondays through Fridays 9 am to 4:45 pm.
