We rented a campervan for a couple of weeks & toured all around the North island, stayed overnight at out of the way campgrounds or near the beach, took the ferry over to the South island & toured down as far as Christchurch, ran out of time but would love to go back soon to do the South island. I especially loved the Maori cultural center & fishing for the big one on Tarpo (even tho we got skunded!) Would go back in a heartbeat. report a problem
