I find this to be one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the Columbia River Gorge, mile post 38 on I84 east of downtown Portland. The trailhead is just south of the fish hatchery, starts at creek level and then ascends higher and higher to the point they had to blast a trail out of the rock cliff face which can be several hundred feet to the bottom (a wire cable handhold is available for the weakkneed). Multiple waterfalls to view by hiking down side trails, a beautiful gorge crossed by a hikers bridge, and Tunnel Falls where the blasted trail goes behind a waterfull in the middle of it's plummet to the bottom. report a problem
