My wife and I have stayed in some very luxury hotels and the Omphoy lacks style, luxury, and service. when we booked this hotel the web site failed to inform us that we would have to pay $25/day for parking that is serviced by the hotel, an outrage. The front desk supervisor, Darnella is nasty and lacks customer service skills. We were informed once we arrived from a 12 hour trip, that if we use the beach umbrella we would be charged a fee as well as other fees for almost all amenities. The Omphoy also wanted to charge our credit card $150/day for just in case stuff happens over and above the booking fees. The room smells and was a strong indication of the present of mold. The air condition was so loud, we were awaken by the sound every 20-35 mins. The sound was so loud it appeared that a firecracker went off and my grandmother old refrigerator started up on a generator. It was unbelievable. After constantly complaining, the maintenance staff stated that "he did the best he could to fix air conditioner". Although our approach was very professional, customer service supervisor was avoiding us and did not initially offer any solution. Our third night Darnella, customer service supervisor offered to move us and the results were the same. All of the rooms have same air handler system that lack a return for fresh air quality. Was this hotel inspected is the question. Additionally, the hotel did not want to credit us for any day of our stay. Be sure of this one thing, no matter how bad your experience you will not get a dime back. We will not stay at the Omphoy again. When you read the review listed at this web site, do not believe the positive. The only positive thing I can say about this hotel is that the parking staf9f was nice, house keeper was professional and the in room chocolates were delicious. Our advise to you stay 100 miles away from this hotel. Stay at the Ritz Carlton down the road.
