Arrive without CASH - bring debit card and credit card, that's it.

Every time I arrive in Paris, I have maybe $5 USD on me. My first stop in the airport is the ATM where I get a cash withdrawal. The exchange rate is better using the ATM in your destination country. There is no need to obtain foreign currency at a higher rate from your bank at home. No need for traveller's checks. Really it's the easiest and simplest way to obtain foreign currency once you land. My bank has a $600 daily limit which is more than sufficient on most trips. report a problem
