If traveling to Patagonia in their winter, skip Ushuaia where it usually snows over and instead indulge in the sapphire waters surrounding towering glaciers in El Calafate and hike up to Mt. Fitz Roy in El Chalten. Better to pass on Tierra del Fuego province when Santa Cruz offers the adventure of a lifetime. Fly to El Calafate, named after its famed indigenous berry, then catch a taxi for a day at the spine-chillingly beautiful National Perito Moreno glacier park. When going to El Chalten, book a bus and stay a few days if you love hiking because it's not every day you hike at one end of the world! P.S. There's even a casino at the end of the world, lol. report a problem
