The Lodges ared situated on the shores of Lake General Carrera with a stunning view to the mountains of the Northern Ice Field.
Our Lodge was supposed to be for up to six people - we were three, which, considering the bathroom, should be the maximum.
Meals are served in a different house, which means steep walks after each meal. The meals themselves are ok.
We booekd a 4-days-tour "Wonders of Lake General Carrera" at visitchile.com. This agency promised a lot and confirmed on the voucher: for instance: a flight from Chile Chico to Balmaceda was supposed to be part of the program. When we got to Terra Luna, things looked different: no flight available - and visitchile could not be contacted! Nevertheless, we had wonderful days at Terra Luna Lodge, but our flight back turned into a car ride ... and visitchile never did anything to take responsibility for that!
If you go to TerraLuna's brand new website, you can see a promotional video which features the outflight, and this video is also shown on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XksuRSFwtGQ&feature=channel_page (uploaded August 2008), so we feel we've been taken for a ride!
So: Terra Luna: maybe, but visitchile.com: no.
