This hotel serves as a perfect compliment to Machu Picchu. We only stayed here one night, but I really wish it had been at least two nights. The grounds are a place to retreat and relax. There is almost a spiritual feel to wandering around the paths observing the flora and fauna. The rooms and the amenities were delightful. All of the common areas of the hotel are beautiful and authentic to the area. The food was wonderful. Lunch and dinner wer ordered from a menu. Breakfast was from an awesome buffet with some of the best breads I've ever eaten. Eggs were cooked to order. The staff was courteous, kind and astute. I was having a hard time walking and a staff member took notice. She sent a porter to our room with ice for my knee. They also sent the physical therapist from the spa to check it out. We were part of a large tour group, so I'm not sure just how expensive this hotel was, but it was worth every penny.
