When we went to Israel this spring we did not want to pay for checking an extra bag to bring home souveniers. Instead, we packed old, worn clothing, especially underwear and undershirts, and threw them away after wearing. This freed up space in our bag for souveniers. While the rest of our group was scrambling to purchase bags at gift shops and paying extra fees to check them, we had our purchases packed and ready to go. We have done this on numerous trips. Don't throw out that undershirt with a hole under the arm just yet. Save it to take on your next trip! report a problem
