The standout on Philadelphia's Antique Row (along Pine Street between 9th and Broad streets) is M. Finkel & Daughter, housed in a circa 1810 building since opening in 1947. There are two floors of 18th- and 19th-century furniture and period accessories, but the collection of samplers and other needlework from the 17th to mid-19th centuries is a goldmine for major museums and historical societies. Wannabe collectors can subscribe to their print catalog or order online.
Closed Saturdays and Sundays. Call ahead for hours.
