Soul of Asia has satellite shops in finer hotels throughout Phuket—including Le Royal Meridien and Trisara—but to get the full-blown experience, go to the main gallery on Ratsada Road in town. Dutch owner Eric Smulders, who once owned a Western art gallery in Hong Kong, established a Phuket foothold so he could do more golfing and fishing. Chinese paintings, ceramics, semiprecious and silver jewelry, and Tibetan rugs are among the gorgeously displayed items in the two-story space, which easily lives up to its "Almost a Museum" tagline.
