There is still enchantment and stimulation in Provence -- and affordable as well. We spent a week in Vaison La Romaine, a good sized village within easy driving distance of Gordes, Nyon, and Avignon. It was our 4th visit there over a 15 year period. There are numerous shop, cafes, galleries and lovely streets to stroll along. The selection of affordable and excellent restaurants is excellent. I recommend the 500 year old Hotel Beffoi in the old section of the town and a quick walk to the very center of the action. The Tuesday market is one of the area's best! report a problem
