In 1997, Dino and Antonella Guido got the notion that foreigners might like to actually sleep inside the trulli they admired, so they renovated 25 of them. All in the trulli capital Alberobello, the circular, conical-roofed, thick-walled houselets are everything you'd expect—simple, cozy, unique. The Web site is more usable in Italian, given the translation job. Extras, for example, include "webbing to the ancient chassis." Trullidea can arrange airport transfer in their appropriately sized mini-mini-compact SmartCar.
