A standout property in the Basse-Ville, the Auberge Saint-Antoine opened in 1992 in the last remaining 19th-century warehouse along the Old Port. Owned by a longtime local family, the hotel is decorated with artifacts unearthed when the hotel was built, including a 17th-century cannon that dominates the lobby. There's nothing ancient about accommodations, though: The 94 rooms are stuffed with amenities such as heated bathroom floors, gratis high-speed Internet access, fluffy beds, and, in some, fireplaces and hot tubs. A Relais & Châteaux property, it houses Panache, one of the most notable restaurants in the area.
