My wife and I spent 7 days at the Cavalieri in August. Our first stay was for three days with a room that unfortunately faced away from the city. As we were located on the HHonors floor we did get to enjoy the view while relaxing in the lounge. if you are fortunate enough to fine an open outside balcony in the lounge it is a relaxing and enjoyable way to have breakfast. Most days we succeeded without much effort, despite the hotel being well occupied.
We returned for 4 more days later in the month and enjoyed the benefits of the great view this time. There is none better in Rome and worth the 10 minute taxi right out of the central city. While spectacular during the day, the night view is calming and peaceful with the dome of St.Peters appearing to be within arms reach.
The hotel has an excellent pool and perfect for those who visit during the hotter weather. The two restaurants are very good, with the roof top LaPergola one of the best in the city.
Getting into the city is easy, a quick cab ride or a trip on their convienent shuttle.
Rumor has it that this hotel will be made a Waldorf property and the rooms, food, pool and view make it a perfect choice!
