We travel with kids all over the world. In Rome we rented an apartment for 2 weeks and had an outstanding time doing all the major and not so major sites. They arranged to meet us at the airport and take us directly to our rental. Eating out was difficult so some nights we had take out from restaurants, and other nights we purchased partially prepared food from the butcher. The apartment gave us space for the kids, flexibility for the ever changing schedule and allowed us to "fit" into Rome in a much different way than other tourists. We walked everywhere and also did a few day trips from the city. We went in late Novemeber and found this to be the one low tourist time of the entire year. Enjoy Rome and take your time! Note our children were 3 and 1 for that trip. report a problem
