September 09, I traveled to Rome and to Tuscany (Lucca, San Gimingango area) and Florence. We were surprised how much English was spoken by the Italians. in the shops, the restaurants and on the streets, most the people spoke English well and were able glad to assist us. If they did not speak English, they would find someone who would! report a problem
