The stories you've heard about Italian men are all true. Two vital phrases you will need to know (particularly if you are blonde) are: "No me dare fastidio. Io tengo amico." This means "Don't bother me I have a boyfriend." It works maybe 20% of the time. The backup phrase is "Solo Francese." "Only French." I was able to deter pesky Italian suitors about 60% of the time with that one ;) It was even more effective than the fake wedding ring I wore! The good news is that although the men are aggressive, I never felt that I was in any physical danger- they're just a little more persistent than American men. report a problem
