If you are a member of a hotel's frequent guest program, be sure to include your member number when you make the reservation, but also, when you check into the hotel, be sure to ask the staff what additional benefits are available to frequent guest programs. These programs are basically a bribe to get you to choose their brand over another brand, so challenge them (only in your nicest attitude, of course) to show you how much they value your choosing them by giving you extras. You might get a free room upgrade, a late check-out, reduced parking rates, free (or discounted) meals or drinks in addition to the points, room credits or airline miles that come with your room rate. report a problem
