Crissy Field, was an air base and is now a jewel of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA). Crissy Field is easily accessible by public transportation and has parking lots if you come by car. The path takes you along the northern waterfront from the Marina district to the Golden Gate Bridge, and features spectacular views of the Bay, Alcatraz, and the Marin Headlands. This walk takes you past newly-restored wetlands with native plants and shorebirds. Don't miss the Warming Hut, a delightful cafe and gift shop... report a problem
