Landed in San Fran, took the Highway 1, 19-mile Drive down the coast, to Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel. Each place unique and beautiful in its own way. At Big Sur, ate at the Nepenthe restaurant which overlooks the Pacific and is known for it's spectacular sunsets. Same trip, we camped at Big Sur, and in Yosemite Valley, and then backpacked and hiked in Yosemite up to Lake Cathedral = spectacular views and truly one of nature's most beautiful parks with it's enormous sequoias.
