Petite Auberge

I strongly suggest that u remove this hotel from your recommended hotels in San Francisco. This was listed as a Conde Nast "best" boutique hotel in 2008. Well, this "ain't 2008". I checked in a week ago for a get away weekend in SF. I booked their best room, the petite suite. I checked out within 30 min!! Charming and luxurious had been transformed into old and shabby. Neglected is another word that comes to mind. The kingsize mattress was uncomfortable( had to give it a try and that was the last straw). My girlfriend and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. The hotel staff was understanding and called us a cab. We immediately checked into the St. Francis Hotel which was great. The Petit Auberge probably had its day, but that was a loooooooooong time ago. Lee
