San Francisco

I used to live in Pacific Heights but now I live one hill over in Nob Hill. Pacific Heights doesn't have a whole lot to offer for visitors, in fact, I wouldn't suggest going to this neighborhood before most other neighborhoods. It is nice and the architecture is stunning, but there is not a whole lot going on here. If you are in Pac Heights though I recommend Solstice (get the mac & cheese!) and Lion Pub (they have a free cheese buffet and a fire place). Lafayette Park is nice, and as was already mentioned, upper Filmore provides some good shopping. Wear comfortable shoes, no matter which direction you walk you will be climbing and/or descending at least one hill. Enjoy.
