LA/Santa Barbara/San Diego area suggestions please!!!

My husband and I are going to LA in September for a wedding and decided to make the trip into a 9 night vacation. We're probably going to stay a few nights each in LA, SB, and SD. Any suggestions for hotels, restaurants, and activities would be much appreciated! We'll be renting a car and may take day trips to some other nearby areas as well. Also, hows the weather in that area that time of year? Thanks! report a problem
