A soothing retreat in the heart of Seattle's bustling Pike Place Market, this romantic hotel is within close walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and shops. You enter through a charming courtyard hung with ivy; the fireplace in the cozy lobby is lit year-round. The 70 rooms are done up in warm, earthy tones, with heavenly Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Room service is from Campagne, the inn's formal Southern French restaurant. The rooftop deck (accessible only to hotel guests) overlooks the market and Elliott Bay, with the Olympic Mountains and Mount Rainier beyond. It's the perfect spot to watch the sun set, wine glass (or coffee mug) in hand.

This modern brick building in Pike Place Market has an ivy-draped inner courtyard with shops, restaurants, and a fountain. "Peaceful rooms" in light green and beige fabrics have views of "water to the horizon and the bustle of the market below." The softly lit Campagne serves specialties from the South of France like roasted veal sweetbreads with sautéed green chard.
