The Seattle hotel boom that seemed to add luxury digs to every corner of downtown—and spurred fabulous updates of some of the city's old standbys—has slowed, though there is still some activity on the scene. The Four Seasons Seattle, which opened in fall 2008, occupies a nice perch with an infinity pool that blends into Elliott Bay. And the Hyatt at Olive 8, opened in 2009, is the city's greenest hotel— the first to occupy a LEED-certified building. Only a few Seattle hotels have prime waterfront views, so book far in advance, especially for stays during July and August.
