I had always heard that Singapore was was a well-planned place and that the transportation system was fantastic. After traveling there last year, I must say it is better than I could imagine. With the purchase of a pass on the transit system you can chose any mode of transport you want to take and your pass gives you access to all! Combining these different modes, you can travel throughout Singapore and see and do everything Singapore has to offer. In fact, Singapore is so proud of the transportation system and has planned it so well that the government discourages ownership of cars. Trust me; you don't need one. I spent four days there and even went into Malaysia (by bus), all with a Singapore transit card. The cost is very reasonable. By traveling this way you will also see things many short-term visitors don't see. You can hop on the train right at the airport, luggage and all, and take it to a stop near your hotel. report a problem
