If you are taking the Garden Route, stop by in Knysna - it's a lovely town around a lagoon. There are panorama viewpoints on both of the heads - huge rocks that form the entrance from the ocean to the lagoon. When the tide is low, you can see the beautiful greenish marshes. There is also a nice small waterfront where you can take a cruise across the lagoon to the heads. The perfect way to toast the sunset is go to an oyster bar as this town is famous for it's fresh daily catch of oysters, shrimp and fish. We went to Oysters Catcher Restaurant (used to be Oyster Factory in Thesen's Island) at Waterfront - it was recommended by our guide book and the locals. The seafood was excellent and very cheap. Oysters and big prawns were phenomenal! report a problem
