the area is very cool, near to the beach, from the metro station i got around 7 minutes to reach the barceloneta beach, walking all along a street full of restaurants where each one try to attract any people to eat there, including one of them offers me 1 liter of sangria for free... the hotel W can be reach by the beach, i recommend you to go to the bar located at the last floor, there are an impressive view on the city and the beach, you can see a great sunset, for local info and tips, check world-rt.com i used it to plan my daily holiday
