Unquestionably the best, most elegant department store in town, NK is the Baltic equivalent of Barneys: full of fashion, housewares, cosmetics, jewelry, even upscale produce in the mini-supermarket. All the key Swedish brands—Filippa K, Tiger of Sweden, J. Lindeberg—are here, and fashion shows frequently take place in the main entrance. It's the perfect place to start any exploration of Stockholm shopping, a fine stop for lunch (there are several places to eat, from a top-floor French café to seats at the fish counter in the basement), and a city landmark. The revolving NK sign with the neon clock is visible from all over town.
