Tiger of Sweden is a schizophrenic brand. On one side is the fashion line worn by teenagers hanging around outside Kulturhuset: superskinny jeans; brightly colored underwear; slightly scruffy shirts, jackets, and knitwear. Yet the brand also produces superslim men's suits and beautifully tailored womenswear in black, gray, and other modest hues—the staff at Esperanto, one of the most expensive restaurants in the country, wears them exclusively. It's a very modern, very democratic, very Scandinavian approach to fashion.
