St. Tropez hotels
Since St. Tropez is basically an overgrown village—none of the hotels in town is more than a 15-minute walk away from another—where you stay depends on your objectives. If you're planning to go clubbing every night, bed down in town (at the Byblos if you're a true party hound). If you want a scene and a bit of peace, head just outside of town, to Ramatuelle, for example. And if a week of gold lamé, endless bubbly, and cranium-cracking music makes you want to bolt, make for the Îles d'Hyères (Porquerolles and Port Cros), unpretentious, car-free isles where body jewelry means Rolexes, not navel rings.
