Sibyllegatan has become the best street in town for classic pieces of 20th-century design. For anyone who covets a Poul Henningsen lamp or an Alvar Aalto chair, Jacksons (Sibyllegatan 53; 46-8-665-3350; www.jacksons.se; closed Sun.) and Modernity (Sibyllegatan 6; 46-8-208-025; www.modernity.se; closed Sun.) are heaven. Both have great collections of mid-century Modern furniture, glass, and ceramics. Asplund is better for newly produced designs, including furniture by contemporary Swedish favorites Mats Theselius and Thomas Sandell (Sibyllegatan 31; 46-8-662-5284; www.asplund.org; closed Sun.). Don't expect to find any bargains, but if you're ready to pay for quality, you'll find it in abundance.
