It's always good to have Plan B. I was to meet a friend in the Zurich airport after we had both been travelling in other parts of Europe. I waited for him all afternoon and finally decided he wasn't coming. There was no alternate plan and I had to find him before he flew in two days to South Africa. I couldn't think of where to locate him but I decided to leave a note at the American Express office in case he thought to check in there. It was the only place in town where I was quite sure that English would be spoken. When I arrived at the office I was delighted to find him writing a note for me. (He had mistaken the date and arrived in the city a day late!) After that I decided that I'd always avoid such a situation in the future by anticipating a missed appointment and making a second option for later on. report a problem
