World Class Blues in Colorado's Personal Heaven.

What is it about music and beer that draws us together? For the 9,000 or so fans that attended the often sold out Blues and Brews Festival in the cozy mountain town of Telluride, Colorado, it's the need to let go one more time before they get out the skis for the long winter. It's a festival for the love of the two things that seem to draw people together most, and when you can spend a cool clear night enjoying a Ska brew with Buddy Guy killing it on stage, you realize life doesn't get much better. With weather that's seasonally unpredictable, Blues and Brews does require a rain jacket and a sweater, but it gives back in big ways to those who stick it out. Be prepared, after all you are in the mountains. Aside from an all day event in Telluride's Town Park, the festival carries deep into the night at a number of the towns 'juke joints'. The shows are amazingly convenient with the festival ending giving you time to spare before you head out again. In all, you can walk/gondola from your bed, to the festival, then to the bars in town. You really can't find an easier going festival with a line-up as big as they get every year. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and get to Telluride.
