prev Contemporary Haven in Central Tokyo

My wife and I have stayed here both times that we have visited Tokyo. The hotel is centrally located and easily accessible by train from the Tokyo Station. The Ginza is a short ten minute walk away. The design is extremely contemporary and the views from the rooms are extraordinary: the hotel is the located on the tops floors of a high rise building. The rooms are small but well appointed and maintained. The drip coffee in the rooms was particularly appreciated when we woke up in the middle of the night - still on north american time. The bathroom facilities are excellent - but the one thing that I miss is the traditional Japanese bathing ritual, not something that you find in a modern hotel. The staff were always very helpful and friendly, and some english is spoken. We knew that we had made the right choice when we arrived after a fourteen hour flight from Canada on a rainy day and the first thing that we noticed as were checking in was the staff wiping down our wet luggage. We are on our way to Japan again this year and will be staying again on our arrival in Tokyo - it almost feels like home.
