Concierge.com's insider take:
A stone's throw from Ginza, Marunouchi used to be a staid business district, busy on weekdays but lifeless on the weekends. In the last few years, it has become the city's newest shopping destination. The Marunouchi Building (known as the Maru Biru) is good for multistory shopping and eating (with great views from the top-floor restaurants); the Oazo building next to Tokyo Station has the excellent Maruzen bookstore, while Naka Dori is packed with chic stores, bars, and restaurants.
