When in Istanbul take the ferry from Kadikoy (Asian side) to Buyukada (Big Island). This takes 1 hr and makes 2 stops before getting to Buyukada. The island has no autos, but hire a buggy to take the 1 hr tour. Buyukada has many old Turkish Victorians, and you will see Leon Trotsky’s white mansion where he lived after his exile. Views are wonderful and the island is like stepping back in time. When we got off the ferry we saw bicycles that had Boulder Police labels for rent, we are currently living in Boulder area. Great way to spend the day. report a problem
