Concierge.com's insider take:
It's not quite the intimate enclave it once was when it had only handful of suites and few neighbors crowding against its sugar-white beach. But the Grace Bay Club, a Mediterranean-style resort now expanded to 89 suites, continues to be one of the most desirable addresses in the Turks & Caicos. The original suites, extensively renovated and now named The Hotel at Grace Bay Club, remain adults-only, with their own restaurant, bar, and swimming pool. All have big bathrooms and small kitchens. For families, there are 59 suites in a new section called The Villas at Grace Bay Club, whose pool, perhaps in acknowledgment of how taxing family travel can be, has a swim-up bar. The Anani Spa has moved out of tents on the beach (although treatments there are still an option) and into its own air-conditioned digs, and the Anacaona restaurant, long considered the place on the island at which to dig deep into your wallet for that one special meal, has had a face-lift. One thing hasn't changed, though: The staff still brings sorbet and chilled fruit to your flopping place on the beach.
