When you stay on tiny Salt Cay, Porter and Haidee Williams's place on the beach becomes your second home from the day you arrive and claim your complimentary Voodoo cocktail. It couldn't be more eccentric: You must place your dinner order by 3 pm, at which point you find out who is at the stove and what they feel like cooking (although they do take requests), and if there's a crab race or wine tasting on. Regular dishes include lobster bisque, sautéed snapper sandwich, conch fritters or ceviche, fish nachos, chicken breast with fruit salsa, sushi (!), and chocolate meringue pie. They also do picnics, breakfast (on Tuesdays, don't miss their delicious coconut-rum French toast with bacon), and "meal plans" for the most loyal.
Open Thursdays through Tuesdays 7:30 am to 3 pm and 7 to 9 pm, mid-June through August and October through mid-May.
